On Sunday, August 26, 2012, Sports Law Chat (#SLChat) will discuss “Distributing Sports Content in the Digital Era” with Jared Kalmanson (@KalmansonKorner) from 8-9pm EST.

Jared Kalmanson of XOS Digital, Inc.

Jared Kalmanson is the Associate General Counsel for XOS Digital, Inc., a 180 person venture capitalist backed sports media and technology company with headquarters in Orlando, Florida. As in house counsel, Jared is responsible for assisting the Vice President & General Counsel on  all legal matters affecting XOS Digital, with a focus on protecting, enforcing and monetizing XOS Digital’s collegiate partners intellectual property content and contractual rights as well as negotiating and drafting various licensing, advertising, digital rights, technology, employment and vendor agreements. Previously, Jared served as a law clerk at Collegiate Images, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of XOS Digital.

Originally a native of New Jersey, Jared attended the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice in 2007.  Thereafter, he attended the University of Miami School of Law graduating cum laude in 2010. At University of Miami Law, Jared was on the Executive Board of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society and was Vice President of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society.
